Tiberius grew up in a land bordering Jiihn'ra. He was a playful child without a care in the world, who knew nothing of the cruelty his power possessed. The king was obsessed with his son to an awful fault. His mother grew jealous and in an attempt to win his love back, was struck down by the king. Tiberius knew nothing of the true nature of her death and attempted to live as the model prince his father was aiming for so as to make him feel better. It wasn't long until his father grew hungry for more; he sent a raiding party into Jiihn'ra territory. The resulting war lasted for ten days and ten nights, until Jiihn'ra's army subdued them. As punishment, the king and queen demanded Tiberius become their prisoner. At only eight years old, he started his life among dirty dungeons and shifty dealings.

Tiberius was quickly forgotten by the king and queen, new ventures becoming much more exciting. He was able to branch out a bit, to befriend a few of the guards and other prisoners. The kalon became crafty and on the eve of his 18th birthday, managed to sneak out of the dungeons -- ten years to mark their ten year war. As luck would have it, he happened to run into the fleeing Gaius and decided to tagalong. Where Gaius wants nothing to do with being a prince, Tiberius craves it. They may disagree on some things, but Tiberius is grateful to have yet another friend.
